Boonpring Andeman Bamboo Garden
Have you ever seen bamboo? Most people have. Bamboo is commonly used in daily life, such as for house walls (gedek), skewers, and more. Boonpring Andeman is filled with various types of bamboo, including bamboo apus, bamboo petung, and bamboo kuning. Visitors often find shade under the bamboo groves, which create a fresh and natural atmosphere.
Originally, Boonpring Andeman was a bamboo forest known as Taman Wisata Andeman. The name "Boonpring" combines the English word "boon" (meaning blessing) with the Javanese word "pring" (bamboo). The word "boon" is also a play on the Javanese word "kebun" (garden), giving it a unique and fitting name.
Attractions at Boonpring Andeman
Boonpring Andeman features a picturesque lake as its main attraction, in addition to its diverse bamboo varieties. The lake adds a natural charm to the area, and visitors can enjoy its beauty by taking a boat ride around it.
If you’re interested, Boonpring Andeman offers both large boats and smaller swan boats. A ride on the large boat costs only IDR 3,000 for two laps, while the swan boats, suitable for two people, cost IDR 10,000 for a ride. Besides the lake, there is a swimming pool area complete with a water slide, popular with both children and adults. For kids, there’s a shallow pool with swim rings available, enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere of Boonpring Andeman.
The site also includes playgrounds with swings and seesaws for children and gazebos for relaxing or gathering with family.
Another nearby attraction is the pigeon coop which visitors can reach by crossing a wooden bridge.

Boonpring Andeman Ecotourism is open daily to visitors from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The entrance fee is Rp 10,000 per adult and Rp 5,000 per child. This fee covers entry only; additional attractions inside require a separate fee, which is reasonably priced. Parking costs Rp 3,000 for motorcycles and Rp 5,000 for cars.
